The story is told following the treacherous adventure of Army Veteran Shawn Livingston's journey running The Pinhoti 100 mile trail race through the Talladega National Forrest in Alabama - paralleled with his family’s battle of living with his demons.
Their lives unfold in front of us as we experience Shawn’s past events that gave him the fight to run 100 miles and the will to push forward.

Meet the Filmmakers


Andrew Shebay, Director/Producer
Andrew is an award winning director/producer based in Austin, TX. His directing aesthetic was crafted by seven years traveling the world. His love for traveling and culture influenced his desire to connect with his subjects and their raw emotions and express those in a simplistic and cinematic style to his audience. He has brought this honest style of visual storytelling to top brands worldwide including, Footlocker, Kids Footlocker, Chevrolet, Dell Technologies, Verizon, and many more including National Non-Profits. Andrew’s previous film he produced, Odessa, was honored with winning at Santa Fe Film Festival and WorldFest Houston. Andrew is currently directing and producing projects at Pipeline Films based in Austin, TX.

Jim Flores, Cinematographer
With fourteen years experience, he brings creative and technical expertise to every project and feeds his visual storytelling passion through commercials, documentaries, broadcast television, and high-end corporate content. He has worked for major brands including GM, Verizon, LG, HP, Dell, Intuit, Samsung, Charles Schwab, ESPN as well as regional brands and non-profits

Jonathan Nicholas, Cinematographer
Jonathan has shot in over 25 countries for narrative and documentary film and TV.
Networks include Discovery Channel, Nat Geo, Travel Channel, Science Channel, ABC, NBC Paramount and History Channel.

Gavin Tatro, Editor
Gavin started his career in Los Angeles and was mentored by some of the top editors in the business. He honed his craft on the west coast and moved to Austin. Gavin’s career blossomed while working in Texas taking on jobs with clients such as USAF, AT&T, PGA Tour, Popeyes, Mazda, Netflix, and many others. He has successfully tackled the art of storytelling in all its forms. Brand films, short films, social media content, and internet content, just to name a few.

Carson Aune, Composer
A composer and actor, known for QB1: Beyond the Lights (2017), War Dog: A Soldier's Best Friend (2017) and The Warfighters (2016). He is from Texas and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Doug Johnson, Sound Designer
A multi-talented, freelance media creator with a passion for storytelling through moving visuals and dynamic sound. As an experienced audio-visual designer in New York City, his skill and creativity have been showcased in advertising, commercials, television, documentary, web, and film work for ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, AMC, A&E, Microsoft, BMW, L'Oreal, Neutrogena, GMC, Magnet Releasing, Variance Films, Discovery, Nickelodeon, Disney, Well-GO USA, MTV, TLC, HGTV, USA, The New York Times, The New Yorker, SciFi, Spike TV, the Tribeca Film Festival, and countless independent productions. He has also stolen New York taxis from actors Sam Waterston and John Ritter on separate occasions. but is not sorry about it.
